My suggestion to the owners of Host Monster would be as follows:

When a person such as myself who is unfamiliar with Internet, etc. calls in and needs 'extra' help to the help that you provide that you provide such a service with one of your competent and reliable employees such as Robb S.

He was very helpful to me today and if I could have --- I would have hired him on the spot to help me with my website www.cardsoflife.com

I am speaking about a personal phone call person to person.

I would suggest that your company encourage your staff with a special bonus or part payment for the extra work - that way every oe benefits - - -

And Host Monster benefits by --- 1. Having more satisfied customers who tell others; 2. Your employee benefits with a special (or extra) percentage and/or bonus for the extra work . . . and 3. Host Monster also gets its cut and customer happiness.

I am sure there are many of your customers out there who feel the same as I do, as long as you keep the additional support cost reasonable and affordable.

Please think about it. This would probably not work for ALL of your employees, but you could certainly start with Robb S and others that are super competent and reliable!

I've found that all shared hosting starts out great but degrades over time.
Currently we have 99.0% website availability but only 89.0% database availability. Even 99.0% means that our website is down for over 1.5 hours per week.
Support is great - a human will answer the phone within 10 seconds or so, but we're not happy with the speed and reliability.


Server is down again today and that is happen twice or more a week. Can hurt a business.
